Movie Night 150 150 Central Presbyterian Church

Our in demand movie night takes us to the Asian Film Festival this Fall with the showing of “Chongquin Hotpot,” a hilarious comedy from China, on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the LeFont Theatre in Sandy Springs.

“Three high school classmates open a hotpot restaurant in an old bomb shelter. The business turns out to be a glorious failure. They find a buyer for the restaurant, but must first ‘enlarge the space.’ Digging out the floor, they emerge into the vault of the bank next door. Now they must devise a plan to sneak into the bank and fix the hole. Lucky break: a girl they know from high school is working in the bank. Bad break: the bank is the target of some badass robbers . . . with plot twists and comic timing – it’s a spicy hot riot!”

The movie is in Mandarin with English subtitles, but we all know that comedy is an international language.

Tickets are $9.40 and available online at or at the box office located at 5920 Roswell Road (two blocks north of the Perimeter) around the back of the Parkside Shopping Center.
