After Hurricane Matthew hit leaving much destruction and loss of life on the mainland of Haiti, many at Central have asked about our friends in Trou Jacques. It appears no lives were lost on the island of La Gonâve, however, their livelihood was devastated. In Trou Jacques alone 42 goats were washed away, gardens and plantings were destroyed, and residents are left without drinking water. They are incredibly resilient people, but still they need our help.
To assist our brothers and sisters in Trou Jacques and others in La Gonâve, please visit the La Gonâve Haiti Partnership Website (click here) to make a hurricane relief donation or read the latest updates on the community. Please continue to pray for the safety, health, and hope for all the Haitian communities.
