Central has a variety of Advent activities to help us celebrate this season even though we are apart. Click on one of the tabs below to discover what we have planned. Stay in touch as we move through the season for updates.
Virtual Advent Calendar
Our virtual Advent calendar launches Sunday, November 29, the first day of Advent. This special calendar was created by members of our church and offers scripture, reflections, music and art for this season.

12 Days of Giving
Central’s Online Alternative Gift Market: 12 Days of Alternative Gifting

In previous years, Central has selected a ministry partner or an organization within the church to be highlighted as the recipient of the annual Christmas Greetings. This year, we have realized that highlighting only one ministry will not be enough. We are currently experiencing difficult days, and so the world needs a bit more kindness and a bit more sharing of the resources and blessings we may have.
As a result, the ministry of missions is excited to announce their 12 days of alternative gifting. This virtual marketplace is where you can shop for “virtual gifts” as an alternative to traditional Christmas gifts. Each day, a non-profit partner or an organization within the church will be featured in our giving catalog. There you will find more information about their ministry and how you can support them directly with a financial gift or with other means of participation. If your gift is in honor of someone special, you are invited to share your story with us. We hope to compile these stories and showcase them next year.
We will begin these 12 days with our Advent Central Shares Drive-by. At this drive-by we will collect donations for the Outreach and Advocacy Center and Central’s Courtyard Fellowship. Most importantly, as you drop-off your donation and see friends, you will receive a gift from Central. Central Deacons have prepared a Bag of Hope for your household. We will conclude these 12 days of alternative gifting with our Christmas Breakfast Celebration in the courtyard. We are expecting to serve 120 small meals to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
