Working together to build a church in Haiti
Bondye bon! (God is good!) For the past two years, Central has been partnering with the Church of St. Philip and St. Jacques in Trou Jacques, Haiti, to help them build a sanctuary. We have been working closely with the Montgomery family in undertaking this project in loving memory of Howard and Margaret Montgomery. Gary Charles, Bede Campbell, members of other La Gonave Haiti Partnership churches, and children & grandchildren of Howard and Margaret worshipped in the new church building as it was dedicated on Sunday. The bishop of the Episcopal diocese preached, and Gary spoke on behalf of our congregation. We celebrate the goodness of God, the faithfulness of the Trou Jacques church, and the legacy of Howard and Margaret Montgomery!
