    An Anti-Racist Conversation Circle

Contact: Mary Elizabeth Pope by email

    Sundays from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Ximena Leroux, Mary Sidney Kelly Harbert, and Mary Elizabeth Pope lead this group

Central Presbyterian has a statement, “Commitment to act against racism” that can be found on our website: https://cpcatlanta.org/anti-racism-resources/. At the gatherings of Friends on the Journey: An Anti-Racist Conversation Circle, we work to disrupt and dismantle racism as we reflect on our own lives and communities and the actions we can take.
Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II reminds us “Addressing systemic racism is not about having conversations. It’s about changing policies that create and continue to cause racial and economic disparities.” We gather to have a conversation and to support each other in the antiracism work that we do in our communities: churches, schools, neighborhoods, workplaces, social gatherings, online and more.
