Bashor Men's Homeless Shelter

Our Ministry Partner

Bashor Men’s Homeless Shelter (formerly known as the Central Night Shelter) is a non-profit organization started in 1980 by an ecumenical group concerned about the growing problem of homelessness in Atlanta. As a ministry of hospitality, it has evolved into a winter night shelter serving the needs of 90-100 homeless men in downtown Atlanta from November 1 through March 31. Open seven nights a week, the shelter provides guests with a hot meal, bagged lunch, and breakfast; showers; access to medical and foot care; and recreational activities such as yoga, basketball, and art.

One of the things that makes this night shelter so unique, is that we are an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff.
Central supports the Night Shelter by hosting overnight guests in our facilities, coordinating meals and fellowship events, and financially.
