Church-wide Read and Reflection on “Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor”
Join Pastor Jessica in a Church-wide Read and Reflect on the book, “Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor” by Layla F. Saad.
The book is most helpful when readers truly sit and journal on their own experiences, choices, and frameworks.
Members are invited to begin reading now. Three dates are set to have meetings afterwards on Zoom to share insights, thoughts and have conversation. The dates are August 31, September 1 and September 2. Details on how to register and participate on Zoom are below.
These meetings are sponsored by Central’s Anti Racism Task Force.
In addition to reading themselves, members are encouraged to invite at least two friends or family members to participate this project with them. This will provide an opportunity for discussing the book along the way.
The book is available via amazon and is on many public library borrowing lists. If you are interested, but need assistance in purchasing one, please contact Ruqayyah Strozier at
