When are worship services?
Worship 11 a.m. Sundays
Worship offers a great opportunity for us to join in community as we offer glory, praise and thanksgiving to God. Central has a rich tradition of a welcoming and warm congregation complemented with inspired preaching and a renowned music program.
While we have moved our worship services online during the COVID-19 crisis, we have not sacrificed the content that makes our services meaningful. You can join us here, on our Facebook page and our YouTube channel to worship with us.
All other church activities on our campus have been suspended as well due to COVID-19. We have many online opportunities to connect.
Taizé Service | 7 p.m. first Tuesday of each month in Rand Chapel (October – May)
The 45-minute service includes sung prayers, simple, beautiful music, a time of silence, spoken and silent prayers, and opportunity for individual prayer and anointing. Free parking for this service is available on Washington Street in front of the church.
During the COVID-19 suspension, Taizé services will be held online. The next Taizé service is Tuesday, May 2, at 7:00 p.m.
Sunday School | 9:45 a.m. Sundays
Central offers Sunday morning learning opportunities for all ages. Adult classes meet around Tull Hall, the youth meet on the third floor of the Campbell-Eagan Building, and children meet on the second floor of the Oglesby Building. When you arrive, a greeter will help you find your way! You can find more information about our classes and opportunities on our Connecting with Central page.
Is parking available?
Handicap parking is available during all Central events on Washington Street in front of the church entrance. Handicap access to the sanctuary and Tull Fellowship Hall is available through the entrance to Rand Chapel, the building facing Washington Street nearest MLK. General parking is available on Sundays, and for other evening and weekend Central sponsored events, at the State of Georgia Department of Public Safety Garage, 180 Central Avenue, SW. You can stop at the curb in front of the church to discharge passengers. To reach the parking garage, continue on Washington Street to the second traffic light (Trinity Avenue). Turn right on Trinity and go one block to Central Avenue. Turn right onto Central, go one block, and cross Mitchell Street. The Department of Public Safety Building is on the right in the next block of Central Avenue just before you reach the Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
